About DST

DST A/S is certified according toISO 14001.

Protection of the environment is a very important part of the DST business philosophy. We strive to take our part of the responsibility for the surroundings and natural resources in order to secure fresh air, clean water and an attractive globe to live on for our children and grand children. Thus, we put a lot of considerations in the way DST, our customers, our suppliers and other partners etc. influences the environment as well as in the efforts to reduce consumption of energy and resources etc.

DST regards the protection of the environment equally high as other aspects of business in a balance where we obey relevant legislation etc. from the society and at the same time maintain our competitiveness.

This responsibility for the environment and our resources is expressed in our environmental policies, as follows:

1.
DST must have a strong focus on the consumption of energy such as electricity, heating, ventilation and water etc.
DST must pay a contribution to saving energy by minimizing the use of electricity as much as possible and by adjusting the body temperatures of our employees with clothing, thus minimizing the use of heating and ventilation. Clean water is a scarce resource which we must do our outmost to spare.

2.
Waste management is another important way for DST to pay a contribution to a cleaner and safer environment.
At DST we must implement a strong awareness of waste management with our employees leading to routines where scrap and other discarded materials from the production are removed properly, where the amount of discharged water and other derivatives are kept to a minimum and within legal limits and where waste in general are handled in a proper and environmental friendly manner.

3.
DST must conduct business harmonized with our neighbours, local society and other partners.
Whether the activities of DST takes place in our business premises at Falkevej in Esbjerg or elsewhere we must do our outmost to minimize the inconveniences imposed on others in terms of noise and dust etc.

In order for above mentioned policies to be observed they must be further elaborated through goals and action plans integrated in the DST quality management system. Follow up on specific actions and corrective or preventive measures are the responsibility of the management but all employees in the company should be aware of these measures. Board of Directors and Management must continuously evaluate the implementation and effects of the environmental policies in DST.
